ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The goal for this house was to give each space its own look and feel, while at the same time creating harmony. This harmony is achieved through colour. First, it is important to recognize the success of this house is due to my collaboration with Guillermo Rodriguez. Together we concentrated on the flow of colour throughout the entire house. The process began in the corridor by introducing a warm gray tone to disguise the cold gray metal door frames and to create a clean and beautiful space to showcase paintings, which are further highlighted with strategically positions spot lights. Various red tones from the painting in the corridor are also introduced throughout the house in the form of an accent walls, curtains, passe-partouts, etc. Harmony is also achieved by implementing a fine, cream-coloured line throughout the house. This small detail, while not immediately noticeable, helps our mind and body feel comfortable and at home.
